Job summary

IMG Academy Maintenance Technician joins our campus team to perform routine and preventive maintenance across facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation of buildings and systems for student-athletes and guests.

You'll repair building systems, perform carpentry, painting, minor plumbing/electrical tasks, and document work including parts used and equipment status. Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
• Maintenance or facilities experience preferred; hospitality, commercial, or residential environments a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and/or HVAC systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Perform carpentry work, paint, move furniture, repair locks, minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and urgent repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working conditions and always follow safety procedures.
• Assist with general building upkeep, including painting, fixtures, walls, flooring, and minor carpentry work.
• Monitor facility systems and report major repair needs to leadership as appropriate.
• Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors and vendors.
• Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student-athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendors.
