Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Maintenance Lead for the UO Building Systems Maintenance-1004 team. The role fixes, maintains, and oversees campus facilities and equipment, providing leadership, planning, and technical direction.

You will coordinate daily work, mentor staff, and ensure safety and quality while supporting project planning and budget considerations. Weekend on-call rotation participation is required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent with several years in facility maintenance.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, safety standards, and basic building systems.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentoring to staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prioritize, assign, and monitor daily maintenance work and requests.
• Provide technical guidance and monitor work quality; report significant issues to leadership.
• Support project planning, scope, schedule, and budget for maintenance work.
• Ensure safety requirements and university standards are followed.
• Prepare estimates for repairs and upgrades; maintain accurate work records.
• Respond to campus emergencies and participate in on-call rotations.
