Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two-year technical degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience including diagnosing, maintaining, servicing, and preserving equipment.
• 1+ year supervisory/leadership experience.
• Management and administrative capabilities with strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Skilled in project management with the ability to delegate and produce results.
• Excellent communication abilities, written and verbal.
• Proficiency with general business software (MS Word/Excel/Email).
• Knowledge of CMMS and supervisory control systems (WonderWare).
• Valid driver’s license and university driver eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Determine maintenance needs for utility plant equipment including boilers, chillers, and pumps.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules balancing preventive, corrective, and predictive tasks.
• Assign technicians based on skill set and task requirements.
• Supervise maintenance tasks from diagnosis to repair and assembly.
• Use CMMS to translate requests into work orders and update GIS mapping.
• Ensure tasks are completed timely per standards and procedures.
• Review SOPs and manuals to identify maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate training on maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Assess employee performance and optimize staffing based on skills and needs.
• Provide technical guidance to the maintenance team.
• Participate in industry workshops to stay updated.
