Job summary

Universal Technical Institute, Inc. seeks a Facilities Director for the Long Beach campus. You will lead a maintenance team, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and partner with campus leadership to deliver reliable, cost-conscious facilities services.

You will manage schedules, vendor relations, and IT support coordination while fostering a high-performance team focused on student and staff safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Formal education as above and industry certification preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance and supervision.
• Ability to manage budgets and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds including renovations.
• Develops and oversees preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintains safe, clean, productive campus environment for staff and students.
• Leads asset protection and safety actions and procedures.
• Manages P&L for facilities and cost containment.
• Partners with Purchasing to solicit bids and manage vendors.
• Oversees IT personnel reporting to IT matrix leader as needed.
• Maintains staff training, certifications and performance.
• Ensures compliance with EPA/OSHA/NATEF/ACCSC etc.
