Job summary

The Mittleman Jewish Community Center (MJCC) and Portland Jewish Academy (PJA) share a single campus of 125,000 sq ft and 9.4 acres. The Facilities Manager leads the Maintenance Team, ensures operations are safe and welcoming, and coordinates with MJCC and PJA leadership on day‑to‑day and special events.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of facilities and custodial operations experience with supervisory experience.
• Deep knowledge of facility maintenance, mechanical systems, safety standards, and OSHA compliance.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance, repair, and safety systems (HVAC, electrical, life safety).
• Leads the Maintenance Team and coordinates external contractors.
• Ensures OSHA compliance and safety across the campus (two organizations).
• Communicates facility needs to executives and supports event coordination.
