Job summary

Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac is hiring a full-time Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Worker to support campus facilities and grounds. The role involves general maintenance, equipment operation, and handling shipping/receiving tasks across campus buildings.

You'll perform wall repairs, lighting checks, snow removal, and assist a Facilities team on a variety of projects. A high school diploma and forklift certification are preferred, with driving credentials required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification within 6 months preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of MS Office 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint).
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot building issues and safety concerns.
• Ability to communicate clearly with end users, colleagues, and management.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Operate equipment for grounds maintenance, snow removal, and pest management.
• Manage shipping/receiving for the campus, receive packages, verify quantities, and forward paperwork.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in maintenance, shipping/receiving, and storage areas.
• Repair walls, patching, drywall, and painting; move and arrange furniture and equipment.
• Check and replace light bulbs, ballasts, and drivers.
• Operate and maintain district vehicles and housekeeping equipment.
• Respond to snow removal and emergency calls on various systems.
• Identify and dispose of recyclable and hazardous materials per safety guidelines.
• Assist Facilities team with tasks and special projects.
