Job summary

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a full-time Buildings & Grounds Maintenance Worker for the Fond du Lac Campus. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools and motorized equipment.

This position will perform light maintenance, shipping and receiving, landscaping, repair, and cleaning of college facilities and grounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and determine repair options for general building issues and safety concerns.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (blood-borne pathogens, lockout/tagout, forklift) is preferred.
• Proficient written and verbal communication with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment as directed.
• Operate tools and machinery for lawn care, repairs, and cleaning tasks.
• Manage shipping/receiving: unload, verify, and forward paperwork; arrange shipments.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in maintenance, shipping/receiving, and storage areas.
• Repair walls, move/adjust furniture, replace light bulbs and ballasts; assist with snow removal.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with building alarms as needed.
