Job summary

Dominican University on-campus in River Forest, IL seeks a Maintenance Technician to support the Buildings and Grounds team in keeping campus facilities and grounds in good order. This role covers general maintenance, carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing and electrical work, and operation of heavy equipment.

The position requires a high school diploma, 5+ years of maintenance experience, and knowledge of small engines and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of small engines.
• Knowledge of power tools.
• Ability to work in a neat and timely manner.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance work and repairs.
• Carpentry, drywall, and painting.
• Plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Operate heavy machinery (Bobcat, Holder, Scissor lift).
• Snow removal using shovel or snow blower.
• On-call for emergency calls.
• Other duties as assigned.
