Job summary

UW-Parkside is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and upkeep of campus facilities and grounds. The role supports basic mechanical repairs and custodial tasks, working with other staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The position operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and a valid Driver’s License within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Acquire and maintain a valid Driver’s License within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with inventory and distribution of deliveries under close supervision.
• Sets up and tears down equipment for institutional meetings and events.
• Utilizes basic equipment to repair and maintain basic machinery, equipment, and facility property under close supervision to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation.
• Escalates and documents issues according to established policies and procedures.
• Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed.
• Assists with routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness.
