Job summary

The Maintenance Services department is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of building structures and their mechanical, electrical, and sanitary systems at the assigned campus.

Candidate should have at least three years of building maintenance experience, knowledge of basic construction, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and be able to operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in general building maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic construction and routine maintenance and repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally).

Responsibilities

• Assist with repair and maintenance of district facilities, including woodwork, plumbing, electrical, and fixtures.
• Inspect building interiors/exteriors and grounds; perform minor repairs.
• Detect and report needed major repairs on structures and systems.
• Move, install, assemble, and repair school furniture and playground equipment as needed.
