Cape Henry Collegiate School, Inc. is seeking a Facilities and Grounds Manager to oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, and systems, ensuring safety and reliability across campus.

You will lead a team, manage preventive maintenance via CMMS, coordinate contractors, and support capital projects in partnership with the Director of Operations. Qualifications

• Five or more years of facilities maintenance experience preferred, including at least three years supervising staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade credentials, or a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of building operations, preventive maintenance, repair planning, and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and roofing.

Responsabilités

• Hires, schedules, and supervises the maintenance and grounds team, managing priorities and deadlines.
• Manages personnel responsibilities for direct reports, including training and coaching.
• Provides hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance support while supervising the team.
• Manages CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance records and follow-up.
• Establishes proactive campus maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Coordinates contracted maintenance, custodial, landscaping, and athletic field services, inspecting quality and safety.
• Oversees building automation, HVAC controls, energy usage and vendor support for issue resolution.
• Plans grounds and athletic field maintenance, including irrigation, turf upkeep, and equipment, coordinating with Athletics.
• Monitors and reports on facilities budget variances and recommends corrective actions.
• Maintains inventories and records for buildings and equipment; plans repairs and replacements.
• Coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance with qualified service providers and maintains service records.
• Conducts inspections to support compliance with building and safety codes, OSHA, and other regulations, including asbestos management.
• Supports campus events with facilities logistics and operations.
