Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• At least three years supervising maintenance or related trades staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade credentials, or a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of building operations, preventive maintenance, repair planning, and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and roofing systems.
• Familiarity with building codes, workplace safety requirements, and required inspections.
• Comfortable using computers and software for work orders, scheduling, email, and digital record keeping.
• Experience in a school or campus environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hires, schedules, and supervises the maintenance and grounds team with planning and priority setting.
• Oversees personnel responsibilities for direct reports, including training and coaching.
• Provides hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance support while supervising the team.
• Manages CMMS work orders and preventive maintenance programs and tracks documentation.
• Develops proactive campus maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and align with school seasons.
• Coordinates contracted maintenance, custodial, landscaping, and athletic field services; inspects quality of work.
• Monitors building automation, HVAC controls, and energy usage; coordinates vendor support for issue resolution.
• Supervises grounds and athletic field care, irrigation, and turf upkeep; coordinates with Athletics for field prep and scheduling.
