Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Marion Campus is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and fixed asset operations, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance across campus facilities, grounds, and related infrastructure.

Reporting to the chancellor and executive director of administration, the role plans renovations and new construction, manages budgets and staff, and represents the college in community and campus governance contexts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Five years related work experience or industry related certifications with 3 years related work experience is required.
• 2 years supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Must have working experience with bid processes and repair agreements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the campus maintenance and facilities operations to ensure safety, security, cleanliness and functional/structural integrity.
• Plan renovation projects and new construction in coordination with campus leadership.
• Oversee fixed assets on campus in line with college policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Prioritize needs, project scope and budgets with campus leadership.
• Manage environmental compliance and safety (OSHA, codes).
• Supervise maintenance staff and manage departmental budgets and reporting.
• Represent the College at community meetings related to campuses and facilities.
• Maintain building master floor plans and ensure asset reports are current.
