Job summary

New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA is seeking a full-time housekeeper to maintain campus facilities, equipment and ground areas. The role includes cleaning floors, restrooms, furniture and assisting with events, with seasonal snow removal.

The position offers an hourly rate of $20 and is essential to campus operations. Applicants should be able to lift 25–75 pounds and work Mon-Thu evenings, with Sundays and some days off as noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform essential duties.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor and rug cleaning and floor maintenance using appropriate equipment.
• Sanitize restrooms and drinking fountains and polish furniture.
• Move and set up office furniture and equipment for college events.
• Assist in snow removal and maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Follow safety rules including OSHA; report damages.
• Respond to campus cleaning emergencies and routine cleanups.
