Job summary

York Technical College is seeking a Custodial Worker II to perform cleaning, maintenance, and setup tasks across campus facilities. The role requires adherence to safety policies and careful handling of cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning of offices, classrooms, and restrooms, window cleaning, inventory monitoring, and occasional event setup. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 10th grade equivalency and at least one year of related work experience.
• Floor tech experience including stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning, and buffing floors encouraged.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physically demanding custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning in offices, hallways, classrooms, and lobby areas; sweep, mop, buff, vacuum, and empty wastebaskets.
• Clean restrooms, sanitize sinks and toilets, and manage waste containers.
• Clean interior/exterior windows; monitor custodial needs and follow chemical safety.
• Assist with setup for meetings/events; monitor supplies and attend safety meetings.
