Job summary

Yorkville CUSD #115 is seeking a Night Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across district facilities. The role involves cleaning floors, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring equipment and supplies are stocked for the next shift.

You will report to the Building Operations Supervisor, perform routine maintenance, monitor safety, clear snow, secure the building, and participate in training. A High School diploma or equivalent and Illinois driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information; write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written form.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Building Operations Supervisor daily.
• Clean assigned facilities and grounds to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Disinfects surfaces and fixtures as required.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Monitor students and staff for safety.
• Perform summer maintenance to prepare for next year.
• Perform minor maintenance on custodial equipment and fixtures.
• Clear snow and salt walkways for safety.
• Secure the building and ensure doors/windows are latched.
