Job summary

Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia is seeking a Building Services Coordinator to provide a clean, safe campus environment and oversee student labor with a focus on customer care and timely communication.

The role involves coordinating routine cleaning, routine maintenance, and event support, while supervising student staff during the academic and summer terms. Monday–Friday, on-site work with physical duties and occasional after-hours responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Facilities Services Supervisor to establish routine cleaning schedules, assess deep-cleaning needs, assist with special event needs, determine supply and tool needs, and create facility and equipment checklists.
• Perform housekeeping, event set-ups, department moves and special projects.
• Oversee student labor during the academic and summer seasons; inspect work quality and assign daily tasks.
• Be alert to and report maintenance problems or campus scheduling conflicts.
• Work on emergencies, preventative maintenance, work requests, and projects as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and perform duties in a safe manner.
