Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services seeks a Housekeeper to provide campus cleaning and minor maintenance across the facility to meet residents' and employees' needs and keep facilities in good condition. In this role, you will follow established schedules, perform cleaning tasks inside and outside, assist with light maintenance, and participate in the linen program and guest room care.

Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Some high school education or equivalent.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with residents and staff.
• Dependability and ability to organize daily cleaning schedule with limited supervision.
• Interest in working with older adults; weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance such as light bulbs and batteries as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks inside and outside per department standards.
• Maintain floors via sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, and buffing as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning spills and project cleaning of walls, ceilings, vents, and fixtures.
• Move furniture when needed and assist in resident transfers or discharges.
• Participate in campus linen program and bed making as needed.
• Report repairs to facilities, observe and report issues with fixtures or furniture.
• Receive campus supplies and assist with deliveries; participate in snow/ice salting as needed.
