Job summary

Covenant Presbyterian Church is seeking a custodial supervisor to lead the custodial team, oversee facility services, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming campus for worship, programs, and events. The role involves planning schedules, coaching staff, and coordinating room setups for services and outside events.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, at least three years in custodial or facilities operations with supervisory experience, and knowledge of safety standards and HVAC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three years in custodial, facilities or building operations with supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, and provide feedback to staff.
• Familiarity with janitorial equipment maintenance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, motivate and supervise custodial staff.
• Train, coach and provide direction on work methods and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and church policies.
• Coordinate room setups for programs and events.
• Perform daily inspections for cleanliness, maintenance and safety.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure closets are stocked.
• Maintain equipment and respond to campus emergencies and alarms.
• Be available for outside events and occasional night/weekend activities.
• Operate church vehicles for errands as needed.
