Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and CovenantCare Home Health and Hospice is seeking a Housekeeper to support campus cleaning and minor maintenance tasks. This role serves residents and staff, supporting infection control guidelines and a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, light maintenance, linen handling, and assisting with moves and special projects as needed. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance including light bulbs, plunging toilets and changing batteries as needed.
• Follow the established schedule to perform cleaning tasks inside and outside, according to department standards.
• Maintain all floors through sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting and buffing as scheduled.
• Assist in cleaning emergency spills and perform project cleaning as assigned (walls, ceilings, vents, fixtures, windows).
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves during transfers/discharges.
• Participate in campus linen program including distributing, collecting and preparing for pick-up, and handling incoming linen.
• Make beds in guest rooms or residences as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment; report or repair as needed; observe for facility repairs.
