Lab Alley is seeking a versatile Facilities and Capital Projects Lead to oversee a 5-building campus near Dripping Springs, TX. You will drive buildouts, manage maintenance, and partner with ownership on expansion projects while maintaining day-to-day operations with autonomy.

The role blends hands-on facilities work with strategic capital projects, requiring strong vendor management, budgeting, and safety compliance in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial facilities and build-out projects.
• Experience handling light plumbing, drywall, painting, and minor mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Project coordination: vetting vendor quotes and collaborating with leadership.
• Proactive problem-solver with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate scissor lifts.
• Reading blueprints and using project management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee campus maintenance across 5 buildings, ensuring safety and uptime.
• Plan, budget, and execute capital improvement projects with internal ownership.
• Manage vendors, permits, and subcontractors for expansions and buildouts.
• Coordinate event setup and facility logistics with Office Manager.
• Maintain facility integrity, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop annual budgets, forecast CapEx, and negotiate high-value contracts.
