Job summary

Pomona College is seeking a Building Attendant to support housekeeping operations across campus. The role includes event setup, furniture moves, cleaning, and safety tasks within classrooms, offices and dorms.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma, be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, hold a valid driver's license, and be ready for flexible, full-time shifts (early mornings to afternoons) with required overtime and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Minimum 1 year custodial/building maintenance experience; academic setting preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; work independently or with others.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, classrooms, restrooms and more; disinfect and maintain floors.
• Set up and break down furniture for meetings and events.
• Move heavy furniture per requests; assist with supplies inventory.
• Respond to emergency requests and maintain security of facilities.
