Job summary

Yavapai College is seeking a College Experience Assistant at the Verde Valley Campus to support campus life, welcome guests, and help promote YC at events. This on-campus role helps students engage with staff and the community while gaining valuable experience and getting paid.

The position emphasizes strong communication, reliability, teamwork, and flexibility across Verde Valley Campus and Sedona Center locations, with multiple campus activities and events throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students, staff and visitors.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow through with tasks with minimal supervision.
• Team-minded and able to work with volunteers and campus staff.
• Able to balance duties with academic responsibilities and adapt to changing needs.
• Willingness to learn YC programs, services and campus layout.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to resource for YC information and campus life.
• Assist with campus tours for new employees, faculty, and visitors.
• Help with event planning, setup, and cleanup for campus events.
• Update bulletin boards and distribute posters to keep campus informed.
• Identify and report safety or campus integrity issues.
• Replenish free snacks donated for students in common areas.
