Job summary

Yavapai College is seeking a Part-Time Catering & Events Assistant to provide operational support for catered events and functions. You will assist with food preparation, event setup, delivery, service, breakdown, and cleanup while delivering professional customer service to students, employees, guests, and community members.

Under Dining Services leadership, you will help ensure orders and events are completed safely and on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, setup, service, and breakdown of catering events.
• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, plating, and presentation.
• Prepare and organize food, beverages, and supplies for events.
• Load, transport, deliver, and set up catering orders at campus locations.
• Provide professional customer service to students, staff, guests, and community members.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and proper storage throughout events.
