Job summary

Yavapai College is seeking Recruitment Ambassadors to conduct campus tours, act as YC representatives, and assist at various campus and community events. The role is a leadership position for students dedicated to serving YC.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, answering questions, supporting Admissions, and helping with office tasks. Evening and weekend work may be required to support events and tours.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in 6 credits.
• Complete I-9 form and hiring documents before first shift.
• Conduct campus tours for new students, schools, classes, and guests.
• Represent Yavapai College during college events.
• Support prospective students by answering questions and providing resources.
• Develop knowledge of Yavapai College and campus resources.
• Assist with events and tasks across YC departments.
• Work with diverse populations on and off campus.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and required trainings.
• Possess leadership, dependability, initiative, enthusiasm, discipline and willingness to grow.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, 0-25 hours per week depending on department need, availability of funds and student eligibility.
This position will gain marketable work experience by working with Yavapai College staff, Faculty and affiliates in a group effort to support the mission, goals and values of Yavapai College.

Admissions
Dean's office assistance
The position is a leadership position for students who are dedicated to serving and representing Yavapai College (YC). Recruitment Ambassadors provide campus tours, serve as YC representatives, and perform duties at various YC campus and community events.
May be required to work evenings and weekends.

• Must be enrolled in 6 credits
• All hiring documents must be completed prior to first work shift, including acceptable documentation for the I-9 Form.
• Conduct campus tours for new students, schools, classes, and guests
• Represent Yavapai College during college events
• Support prospective students by answering questions and providing resources
• Develop an expanded knowledge of Yavapai College
• Assist with duties and tasks related to events put on by various YC departments
• Work with diverse populations on and off campus
• Attend weekly staff meeting and required training
• Assist with variety of office related tasks
• Possess the following qualities: leadership, dependability, initiative, enthusiasm, discipline and willingness to grow both personally and professionally
• Strong speaking skills

Essential Functions

The start date, to occur no sooner than July 1st of the current aid year, of this position will be determined by the hiring supervisor after an applicant is hired. This position has a standard end of assignment date of June 30th of the current aid year. Assignment may end sooner or be extended depending FWS eligibility, availability and/or department need.
