Job summary

Covista is seeking an Operations Specialist to support campus expansion efforts in Chicago, IL or Lisle, IL. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop processes, manage activities, and drive operational readiness for growth initiatives.

You will be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of navigating competing priorities while meeting milestones. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in operations or PM are required; proficiency with MS Office, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years of experience in business operations or project management.
• Experience with process improvement, coordination and change management preferred.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels and multiple projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written & verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organization skills; able to manage tasks with minimal guidance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Basic skills/knowledge of Smartsheet, SharePoint, and AI technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the campus expansion team.
• Maintain and update centralized project repositories and trackers; ensure documentation is current and accessible.
• Support development and implementation of operational processes, tools, templates, and governance for campus expansions.
• Assist with operational readiness activities, site visit planning, regulatory research, business licenses, procurement, and facility support.
• Maintain project plans, trackers, timelines, and status reports; document milestones, risks, and actions.
• Leverage project management and reporting tools, including AI-enabled tech, to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate regulatory and licensing activities by tracking deadlines and submissions.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to support project objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
