Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in security and/or Police environment preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Banner, UIS.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to multitask and manage high-paced, diverse events.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the events on campus to include both internal University events and outside events. Prepare roll calls and assign personnel.
• Schedule and call the Per Diems for events, patrol, shuttle and Resident Village coverage.
• Supervise Per Diems for uniforms, appearance, customer service and communication; prepare disciplinary records when needed.
• Notify the Assistant Director, Administration & Events by email on payroll changes, disciplinary problems and other pertinent information.
• After every event email the Director, Public Safety and Assistant Director with a critique of the event.
• During events, notify Chief of Public Safety and Director, Public Safety regarding issues to escalate.
• Backfill for Supervisors during vacations or emergencies and when no events are scheduled.
• Monitor campus calendars to ensure accuracy of events and that Per Diems are informed.
• Supervise department reports for Per Diems for accuracy and neatness.
• Reaffirm department policies and ensure Per Diems are updated.
• Continuously assess customer service via dialogue with Public Safety and community feedback.
