Job summary

St. John's University is seeking a Training Officer to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of its Public Safety training programs and serve as the department's subject matter expert for onboarding, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.

You will oversee classroom and field training for all officers. You will create annual and monthly training plans, maintain training calendars/records, coordinate in-service and certifications, and collaborate with campus partners to

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in public safety, law enforcement, security, or related field.
• 3+ years of training and instructional experience.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License; valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Public Safety Officer Training Program.
• Plan and coordinate annual, quarterly, and monthly training plans and calendars.
• Coordinate CPR, AED, First Aid, and regulatory compliance training; ensure certifications are current.
