Job summary

Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) in Augusta, VA is hiring a part-time Student Activities & Recreation Support Specialist to help create an engaging campus experience for students. The role blends administrative support, event coordination, and direct student interaction.

The successful candidate will manage procurement, help plan events from concept to completion, and serve as a welcoming point of contact for students with hands-on customer service.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service experience with demonstrated ability to interface with technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and constituencies to assist prospective students.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills including flexibility, prioritization, attention to detail, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for Student Activities/Rec Center.
• Plan and execute student-centered events from concept to completion.
• Serve as a welcoming, reliable point of contact for students through hands-on customer service.
• Provide coverage at the Recreation Center as needed (Mon-Thu until 6:00 PM, as needed).
