Job summary

The University of North Carolina seeks a University Program Associate - Journey to provide event planning assistance to students, faculty, and staff in the Conferences, Reservations and Event Services (CRES) unit. You will schedule campus space, coordinate food service and AV needs, and manage billing and invoicing for reservations.

Responsibilities include supervising student staff, enforcing policies, and maintaining up-to-date rate schedules while delivering strong customer service in a busy

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Outstanding customer service and client relations skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and electronic reservations software.
  • Ability to work with a varied clientele.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy, changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Process requests for space across campus and record information in the scheduling system.
  • Schedule space according to policies and ensure proper forms are completed.
  • Enforce university policies and manage forms and billing as needed.
  • Assist in managing the daily Reservations Desk workflow and staff.
  • Coordinate with service providers and event support staff.
  • Provide oversight and training for student staff and quote fees where applicable.
