Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking an Emergency Management Coordinator to support safety, readiness, and resilience across the campus. The role develops comprehensive emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities while assisting with SABM training and community outreach.

The position collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to strengthen preparedness, participate in interagency activities, and provide operational support during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of direct experience in emergency management.
• Valid Driver’s License within 6 months of employment.
• Certification to teach CPR, AED, and First Aid or be certified within five months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the SABM program including training, certification, and budgeting.
• Lead First Aid, AED, and CPR training sessions for staff.
• Coordinate SABM personnel performance and stipends.
• Manage building marshals, site managers, and readiness.
• Support emergency mass notification system administration during incidents.
