Job summary

Lanier Technical College is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Emergency Preparedness to lead campus-wide emergency planning and safety programs. The role reports to the Chief of Police and requires coordination with multiple departments to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the Emergency Operations Plan, Business Continuity Plan, and Hazardous Communication Plan, plus coordinating drills, trainings, and inventories for

Qualifications

• Georgia POST Police Certification.
• High school diploma or GED AND two (2) years of experience as a certified police officer.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, implement, and maintain the Emergency Operations Plan.
• Develop, update, implement, and maintain the Business Continuity Plan.
• Develop, update, implement, and maintain the Hazardous Communication Plan.
• Coordinate and conduct scheduled fire drills at all campuses annually.
• Coordinate and conduct Active Shooter preparedness and response training annually.
• Coordinate Training and Drills with external emergency partners.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and manage hazardous materials inventories.
