Job summary

Lower Columbia College seeks an organized, proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to protect students, faculty, staff and visitors. You will develop campus-wide safety programs, policies and emergency protocols, and serve as the primary liaison for regulatory reporting and compliance.

The role directs hazardous materials management, air flow testing, incident investigations, proper labeling, and safety committee participation.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented safety professional with strong background in occupational hygiene and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safety program management & compliance: develop, review, and implement campus-wide safety policies and emergency protocols.
• Hazardous materials, waste management & chemical safety: oversee hazmat inventory, SDS retention, and waste disposal while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Occupational health, inspections & environmental testing: conduct hygiene hazard assessments and air flow testing for facilities.
• Incident investigation, reporting & regulatory documentation: perform accident investigations and coordinate mandatory regulatory reporting.
