Job summary

Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia, is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Food Service Department. We are hiring for full-time and part-time roles to support the dining hall and campus community on a historic boarding-school campus.

The Utility/Server role focuses on daily dining hall operations, maintaining clean and sanitary dining/kitchen areas, and assisting with food service and preparation. Weekend availability is required for the part-time position.

Qualifications

• At least one year of cooking or food-service experience preferred.
• Dependable and willing to perform a variety of food service and cleaning duties.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• ServSafe or food-handler certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized dining room.
• Clean and sanitize dining hall equipment, tables, floors, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Remove trash and waste and maintain designated disposal areas.
• Operate, load, and unload commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Operate washers and dryers as assigned.
• Assist with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Follow all health, sanitation, safety, and food-handling requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, rotating, and properly storing food and supply deliveries.
• Perform other Food Service duties as needed.
