Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Director of Dining Service I at Oakland University in Michigan. You will advise day-to-day operations and financial performance of campus dining locations, ensuring contract adherence, health regulations, quality, and presentation.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of operational food service management experience.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, marketing, presentation.
• Strong leadership abilities with supervising and developing staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Outstanding customer service skills and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be experienced with computers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and food quality.
• Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring food quality and service standards.
• Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports related to food and labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards for customer health.
• Build strong client relationships to align programs with objectives and retention.
• Perform other duties to support efficient dining operations.
