Chartwells Higher Education serves a major campus location in Pittsburgh, seeking an Assistant Director of Dining Services I to oversee day-to-day food service operations, lead a team, and support profitability and client relationships. You will coordinate with culinary and marketing teams to implement programs and ensure high-quality service.

The role requires 1–3 years in food service leadership, strong communication skills, and solid MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of food service management experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, or related food service operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Associate’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large volume location.
• Manages, trains, and develops a team of associates.
• Maintains client relationships and supports profitability and financial goals.
• Works with Chef and management to create nutritious, top-quality food.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
