Job summary

Oregon State University’s University Housing and Dining Services is hiring for multiple full-time Cook 1 positions. The role supports the Cook 2, ensuring appealing and nutritious meals, proper cooking methods, and strict safety standards.

You will assist in training student staff, scheduling work, and supervising operations to maintain campus dining quality. Applicants should have 1 year cooking experience in commercial food service or a culinary arts certificate, with experience in high-volume

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a cook in a commercial food service facility, or a certificate of completion in culinary arts / Foods and Hospitality Service from a certified community college or technical school.
• Prior experience in a high-volume food service operation.
• Lead work experience in training, scheduling and assigning work.
• Cashiering experience and accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to use a computer to fill out forms, complete timesheets and check email.
