Job summary

Oregon State University in Corvallis seeks dedicated Food Service Worker 3 to perform a variety of food preparation and service activities. You will assist the unit manager to implement guidelines focused on customer care, student employee development, and product quality.

This role may act as a back-up for delivering food to access-secured residence halls and requires a criminal history check. UHDS emphasizes sustainable practices, nutrition, and a positive dining experience for 5,000 students

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a commercial food service facility.
• Knowledge of retail food service.
• Experience operating commercial food service equipment.
• Experience in food service safety and sanitation process and procedures.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to understand and convey directions.
• Good customer service skills when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Ability to adapt to changing work demands.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Serve internal and external customers in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Maintain high standards of service, quality and cost awareness.
• Perform lead work duties.
• Keep a clean, sanitary operation following health department guidelines.
