Job summary

Bon Appetit Management Company is seeking a General Manager to lead dining services at La Verne University. You will shape the dining program, oversee residential dining, retail venues, catering, and events, and drive excellence in guest experience and financial performance.

The role requires strategic, hands-on leadership with a track record in higher education, hospitality, or contract food service management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, Culinary Management, or related field preferred.
• Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in higher education dining, hospitality, contract food service, or multi‑unit food service operations.
• Proven success managing large‑scale dining operations with full financial and operational accountability.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost controls, and profit and loss management.
• Experience leading multiple service areas including residential dining, retail operations, catering, and special events.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and partner with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all dining service operations including residential dining, retail venues, catering, concessions, conferences, and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with university leadership and campus stakeholders.
• Drive financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting.
• Lead strategic business plans to achieve revenue growth and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to deliver innovative menus and campus dining programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop management and frontline staff.
