Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a temporary/on-call Driver for its Campus Dining department. The Driver will deliver food, equipment and supplies across Campus Dining operations, including the Allergen Kitchen, Center for Culinary Excellence, and other Notre Dame dining locations.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, verifying deliveries, rotating products, and maintaining a clean, sanitary storeroom while upholding food safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Positive, respectful, and reliable in schedule adherence.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Ability to move, lift and handle items up to 25 pounds.
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food, equipment and supplies to and from Campus Dining operations.
• Deliver meals from Allergen Kitchen to other Campus Dining locations.
• Pickup bakery and items from Center for Culinary Excellence and deliver to Campus Dining operations.
• Load/Unload trucks and store items as designated.
• Check product and equipment that is received.
• Ensure products are rotated properly.
• Maintain a sanitary and safe storeroom.
• Sweep, mop, dust and remove boxes to keep area clean and organized.
