Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is hiring a Culinary Service Associate in the North and South Dining Halls. This temporary, on-call role supports back-of-house kitchen operations, dish room setup, and food preparation tasks. You will help maintain clean serving lines, assist with prep, and ensure timely replenishment of items during service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of serving lines, food displays, and condiment stations during service hours.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing and cutting vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling simple items.
• Monitor and replenish food items on serving lines and alert cooks to low stock.
• Operate and maintain basic kitchen equipment safely.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment before, during, and after shifts.
• Assist with dishwashing duties and proper storage of clean dishware.
• Support inventory management and proper storage of supplies.
