Chartwells Higher Education, a member of Compass Group USA, seeks a self-motivated Retail Director of Dining Service I at Florida International University in Miami, FL. You will oversee day-to-day operations and financial performance of multiple campus retail foodservice locations, ensuring compliance with health standards and contract guidelines.

This role requires leadership to hire, train, and develop staff, maintain high food quality and customer service, and deliver essential financial

Qualifications

• Six or more years of operational food service management experience.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising and developing staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
• Outstanding customer service skills and commitment to high quality.
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with computers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and food quality.
• Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring food quality and customer service standards.
• Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and financial reports, including food and labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety standards.
• Champion strong client relationships to align programs with their objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support dining operations.
