Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking a Custodian in Student Services and Housing to perform routine custodial duties across UW-Whitewater buildings and keep areas sanitary and safe.

Under supervision of the Custodial Services Supervisor, you will clean restrooms, empty trash, maintain floors, and assist with special custodial projects while participating in overtime functions for University Housing Facilities.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work independently and with a team.
• Experience with commercial cleaning methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms, showers, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Empty wastebaskets and remove trash.
• Vacuum, mop, and maintain floors.
• Report maintenance needs and drive university vehicles if authorized.
• Maintain exterior spaces and entryways.
