Job summary

Spokane Community College is seeking a Custodian 1 (Non-permanent) to join the SCC Facilities team at the Main Campus in Spokane. This 40-hour, full-time role supports cleaning, maintenance, and safety of college facilities for students and staff. The position is non-permanent and not to exceed 18 months, with step-based salary progression.

Starting salary is $3,195 per month, with annual step increases of about 5% up to the top of the range. Applications close 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Knowledge of custodial chemicals and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect buildings and facilities.
• Maintain restrooms, supplies, and waste management.
• Perform minor maintenance and basic repairs.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed.
• Operate and document maintenance work orders.
