Job summary

East Valley School District 361 is seeking a full-time Custodian in Spokane Valley, WA. The role supports district facilities, with an 8-hour shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11:00pm) and annual 260 working days. Starting immediately after hire, the position requires immunization proof, First Aid/CPR, and background clearance (FBI/WA State Patrol).

The district provides health benefits and a pathway to join a dedicated custodial team reporting to the Director of Custodial Services or designee.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent (documentation required at time of application).
Must be in good physical health, capable of lifting up to 50lbs, working at various heights, and perform various types of physical labor for an 8 hour shift.
Must be able to provide proof of immunization if born on or after 1/1/1957.
Required to have a valid First Aid card including CPR and training for HIV/AIDS procedures.
Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.

Responsibilities

Routinely check buildings and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safety. Inform supervisor of any deficiencies.
Be familiar with all materials and equipment used in preventative maintenance of the building and grounds.
Properly clean and maintain all areas of responsibility to the level of sanitation and safety that is determined and governed by supervisor and state and federal laws.
