Job summary

Spokane Community College, part of Spokane Colleges, invites applications for the Custodian 1 (Non-permanent) position. This role performs custodial, housekeeping and general maintenance duties to keep campuses clean and safe for students and staff.

It is non-permanent, not to exceed 18 months, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Starting salary is $3,195 per month, with salary step advancement after six months and annually thereafter, approximately 5% increases.

Qualifications

• Ability to do required work.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Able to read and interpret Instructions on Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect buildings, offices, rooms, and facilities.
• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect showers, restrooms, and toilets. Keep restrooms stocked.
• Move furniture and equipment on an incidental basis and maintain inventory of equipment.
• Use a computer to update maintenance work orders and document time spent.
