Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a facilities support worker to perform a range of unskilled manual and operational tasks in dining halls, residences, and common areas. You will operate university vehicles, assist with custodial duties, and support staff in maintaining clean and safe environments for students and guests.

The role requires lifting, adherence to safety protocols, and good communication with residents and campus teams. A valid driver’s license and flexibility for shift work are expected.

Qualifications

• Operates large box trucks, vans, golf carts and similar vehicles.
• Handles heavy lifting and manual labor with safety.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform unskilled manual and operational tasks in College Residences/Dining Halls and related spaces.
• Safely operate university vehicles and manage custodial supplies/equipment.
• respond to routine and emergency work requests from supervisor and campus partners.
