Job summary

Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute is seeking a dependable Custodian for the 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. shift, Tuesday through Saturday, to maintain the cleanliness of campus buildings, offices, and classrooms and to assist with events and classroom needs.

Duties include floor and carpet care, light maintenance, setup/breakdown for events, snow removal, loading dock support, and general custodial tasks. A high school diploma or GED and 6–12 months of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions and read/write in English.
• 6–12 months of job-related experience required.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, hallways, stairwells, and classrooms.
• Perform floor and carpet care using floor machines and cleaners.
• Change light bulbs and perform routine lighting upkeep.
• Set up and breakdown tables, chairs, and equipment for events across campus.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and salting as needed.
• Load packages at loading docks and transport to appropriate locations.
• Remove trash and manage recyclables from buildings.
