Job summary

County College of Morris Foundation is seeking an Evening Custodian I to maintain campus facilities with routine cleaning, sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom upkeep, and waste management. You will also support special events setup and respond to work orders under the Custodial Supervisor.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:30 am, with duties including snow removal and general building care.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency desirable
• 0–6 months custodial maintenance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust; clean restrooms and replenish supplies; empty trash and manage recycling.
• Assist with special events setup and day-to-day custodial tasks; shovel snow/ice and apply calcium chloride as needed.

Performs a wide variety of routine cleaning duties at campus buildings which include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuum cleaning, dusting tasks & changing of light bulbs. Maintains rest rooms which includes cleaning of walls, sinks, fixtures, toilets & mirrors. Replenishes towels, tissues & soap dispensers. Empties garbage receptacles. Performs recycling duties when necessary. Cleans entrances to buildings. Includes glass on entrance doors & exterior areas to buildings. Polices areas around buildings for litter. Performs work orders assigned by the Custodial Supervisor which are associated with assisting the day custodial staff with set ups of special events & college activities. Clears snow & ice from entrance ways, walkways, patios & steps. Shovels or sweeps areas & applies calcium chloride. Performs other duties as assigned.
