The role includes carpet shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, and assisting with special events. Shift is from 5:00pm to 1:30am; prior custodial experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Custodial Services
Performs a wide variety of routine cleaning duties at campusbuildings which includes, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping,vacuum cleaning and dusting tasks and changing of lightbulbs. Performs special custodial assignments which includes shampooingofcarpets, stripping, waxing and spray buffing of floors andstairwells. Maintains rest rooms which includes cleaning of walls,sinks, fixtures, toilets and mirrors. Replenishes towels, tissuesand soap dispensers. Empties trash receptacles. Performs recyclingduties when necessary. Cleans entrances to buildings. Includesglass on entrance doors and exterior areas to buildings. Policesareas around buildings for litter. Performs work orders assigned bythe Custodial Supervisor which are associated with assisting theday custodial staff with set ups of special events and collegeactivities. Clears snow and ice from entranceways, walkways, patiosand steps. Shovels or sweeps areas and applies calcium chloride.Performs other duties as assigned which may include, but notlimited to, custodial tasks.
High school diploma or equivalency desirable.
Six months – one year experience in custodial maintenance.
